Due to the high purity of limestone at our Belclare Quarry Mortimer Quarries have been producing, supplying and spreading agrilime, under the Brand name GROLIME, in the Galway, Mayo and greater west of Ireland region for many years.
We have contractors who spread GROLIME for us in counties Galway, Mayo, Roscommon and Clare.
Mortimer Quarries hold a license from the Department of Agriculture to produce and supply Ground Limestone to the agricultural market. Our lime is tested bi-annually by the Department of Agriculture and is also subject to independent laboratory testing.
Mortimer Quarries exceeds the Department of Agriculture's requirements, in both neutralising value and grading, giving better results per tonne used.
